Jimmy Minor Chet Atkins "Im a Fool For You" Mercury Records 1960

Here is my dad Jim Minor with Chet Atkins doing an original Mercury record song titled Im a Fool For You. Recorded by Mercury records in 1960. If your looking through your records to see if you have a Jim Minor, he went under the name Jimmy Minor. He wanted me to list these as Jim Minor. When he recorded for Mercury records, he went as Jimmy Minor. When he recorded for United Artists label, he went as Jim Minor. Just to clear up any confusion. Flip side of this record has Satans Chauffeur. Satans Chauffeur has the Jordanaires as backup vocals. Jim also had floyd cramer, as well as Grady Martin on other records of his. Jim Minor owned Colt "45" Records of Flint, MI 1959. Artists on the label were: Connie Dycus, Eddie and Don, Paul and Larry and Donna Chrysler. Jim Minor published Narvel Felts, Jimmy Edwards, Connie Dycus and Vada Belle and Alice Berry through Mercury Records all in the 1950s all rockabilly. Jim played on the Grand Ole Opry Oct. 1961

Jim Minor has all kinds of demos and stuff that would do good in today's country music. He has some old demos that never made it on a record. Songs like Lucky Strike, The Playhouse, The Moon My Guitar and You, Dixieland Lullaby, Ballad of Beverly Hill, A new Star is Born and others. These tracks have already been transferred to cd. Jim will decide which and if any of these go on youtub

thats my great uncle he rcently died
