  • Peter Cooper is very tall, so the instrument appears to be smaller in proportion.

  • No, that is the standard oboe. Oboe da Caccia is actually bigger, and curves around.

  • I really like this piece. I was fortunate enough to hear Nancy Ambrose King play it at Marrowstone 2007 and then hear it at the IDRS conference this year. I know a good bassoonist that I'll play it with eventually.
