A second attempt at the Black Speech of Mordor video. This is
the full rhyme known in Westron as the'Ring Verse'. The first half of the speech is that of linguist David Salo who worked on the films of LOTR and the second part is that of JRR Tolkien.

Well, at least i tried!?!. (^^/)..again...

Shre nazg golugranu kilmi-nudu,
(Three rings for the Elven-kings under the sky)
Ombi kuzddurbagu gundum-ishi,
(Seven for the Dwarf-lords in their halls of stone)
Nugu gurunkilu bard gurutu,
(Nine for Mortal Men doomed to die,)
Ash Burz-Durbagu burzum-ishi
(One for the Dark Lord on his dark throne,)
Daghburz-ishi makha gulshu darulu.
(in the land of Mordor where the shadows lie.)
Ash nazg durbatulûk, ash nazg gimbatul,
(One Ring to rule them all, One Ring to find them,)
ash nazg thrakatulûk agh burzum-ishi krimpatul
(One Ring to bring them all and in the Darkness bind them)
Daghburz-ishi makha gulshu darulu.
(in the land of Mordor where the shadows lie.)

  • I don't understand. There is two versions of The Ring Verse in internet. This is one of them, but there's another version that begins like this: Gakh Nazgi Ilid/Albai/Golug - durub-uuri lata-nuut. This two versions just have in common the ring inscription. Which one is tolkien's verse?

  • @Carildrith Well Tolkien only ever wrote of the Black Speech what you read in the books. The video I made uses the Neo Black Speech of linguist, David Salo, who worked on the movies. There are myriads of different 'Black Speeches' out there made by many different people but regarding the ring inscription, Tolkien only wrote the second half - Ash nazg durbatuluk, ash nazg gimbatul. Ash nazg thrakatuluk agh burzum-ishi krimpatul.

  • Awesome dude how did you learn this? Can you tell me where can i learn mordor language?Or just elvish? Thanks in advance

  • @MikovicNenad2 Mostly self-taught and using parts of the movie for reference. There is very little 'Black Speech' written by Tolkien but there are fan sites that have expanded the language. I use Neo Black Speech which was written by David Salo for the movies.

The website Land of Shadow also has a good black speech section. Hope it helps.

  • @MikovicNenad2 There are also myriads of learn elvish websites out there, either for Quenya or Sindarin.

  • amazing :] could do with out the echo v.v i dont want to get mean but its really quite annoying :/ your pronunciation is superb and just flat out intimidating but its bogged down with the syllable uttered .5 seconds earlier in the background :/

  • @zetadiamond063 Thanks for the feedback. There are another 2 versions without the echo if you prefer? They're available on my channel or if you'll find them by searching for 'Black Speech of Mordor'.

  • I enjoyed it . . .creepy as fuck.

  • This was officially one of the most awesome things I have seen and heard! I like the echo effect. It adds that creepy factor and fills your mind with imaginations of what could be going on behind the darkness. It sounds native american to me now that I hear it. Kudos to you!
