this is one of the best lap steel and blues players i've ever seen, and i've seen quite much. how come he isn't more famous?

Hawaian slide guitar could of came first but bottleneck blues will always be my favorite slide style! Bob's the slide master!

Yeah. The ego comes through a bit too much (my beautiful wife, my stellar technique....). The question for me is always whether I feel anything with my eyes closed and only my ears. This isn't doing it.

What I like most is the minimalist, super-subtle, low-key holding back of any kind of gratuitous display of technique...
