I wouldn't give any money to an artist who made signs that looked like that either.

yeah...sarah offers an on-going dialog while rejecting the actual money. she's a great deterrant to progress. if you listed to what she said, she said she knows what's best for alaska. i think she knows what best for her celebrity status...dancing with the stars...levi's playgirl layout...levi running for a mayoral position...and the lame 'palin's alaska' show in TLC. nice job ladies. way to stay on point. thanks for your fight. politics cannot block what's needed for education and the arts.

Newsflash: That money comes with so many strings attached it was a LOSER! It would have COST the state money in the end, after all the mandates, it was a BAD IDEA!

You see! And people actually thought that this women would be good for VP during the 08 election. Palin just keeps it coming .

Try getting a real job instead of asking the tax payers to buy your damn art supplies.
If your art does not sell it means it's garbage.
I know in my state the more money we throw at the school systems the worse they get.

Can you say overreaction? If these people have a legitimate beef (and they might) they should go talk to their legislators. The Gov just picked out what she knew would create jobs and left the other stuff on the table for discussion and debate in the legislature. If they have a case, they should take it up with their representatives now.

yeah, millions for finger painting with really stimulate the economy.
How much for art...how much for education???? Palin shows up to have a dialogue and people blast her for that? She encourages further dialogue instead of slamming the door shut. Instead of hiding? I don't get it. Since I don't know specific details, I can't defend either side, but palin taking the time to go talk to these folks is a hell of a lot better than most others do..

I'm glad this Art lady didn't throw a hissy fit. At least she's listening to Palin and considering about capital projects for schools, her art bldg, etc. They could hire private contractors to take care of the job and when it's done, the State doesn't have to worry about it anymore.
