Vantage Lofts, Henderson, NV - Abandoned Real Estate January 2010

Vantage Loft was to be a 10 acre community that was to feature three, 5 story buildings with over 110 luxury lofts and flats. Vantage would feature stunning views of the Las Vegas Valley, The Strip and Downtown, and majestic mountain ranges.

Here is a list of some of the amenities that Vantage Lofts was going to offer, had it been completed...
8,200 Square Foot Clubhouse
State of the art theater room
Fitness center
Conference room
Game room
Banquet room
Sauna
Locker rooms
Endless indoor propulsion pool (pool with continuous current)
2 Outdoor swimming pools
Poolside lounge
Wet bar and fire pit
Waterfall Features
2 Large outdoor hot tubs
Community Barbecues
Enclosed Pet Park

Vantage Lofts - was going to feature European Style kitchen cabinetry finished in laminated wood and aluminum banding, refrigerator and dishwasher will have cabinet panel fronts to match the cabinetry, granite countertops, Hansgrohe kitchen faucet, Blum hardware and Blumotion drawers.

The Loft floor plans would range from 1,712 to 2,812 Sq. Ft. while the Flats would range from 1,006 to 1,534 Square Feet.

Construction began in 2006, but later came to a stop in 2008 when the project filed for bankruptcy. This video contains artist renderings of how the project was to look once completed, and pictures of the current state of Vantage Lofts as of January 2010. According to an article in the Las Vegas Review Journal the property was foreclosed on, and the bank has hired a company to sell the project. Originally units were priced from the $400,000's however due to the declined values in the Las Vegas Valley, and the fact that this project will more than likely be sold for far less than the original land value and construction costs, it is likely that if ever completed as a "Private Residences" residential project, that costs would probably be closer in range from the high $100,000's to the low $200,000's. However that is pure speculation at this point, as the timeline and future of Vantage Lofts is uncertain at this time.

  • Well Jvoldtad, I moved to North Carolina and I am no longer in real estate. However considering Las Vegas is currently the #1 city in the US where it is cheaper to buy than to rent, I don't know about what you would consider a good time to buy, but if it's cheaper for me to buy than rent and in addition I receive tax incentives on top of that, to me it's a no brainer, it's a good time to buy. No doubt prices are still declining, but I would much rather own my own place for less than rent, but

  • Beautiful Images.

    Beautiful Music.

My god, this video is just plain art. :D

  • Thanks Blue. I will have more Abandoned Real Estate Videos coming soon.

  • how did they file for bankrupt when they had the money to build them in the first place?

  • Very long story, but there was still quite a bit to complete inside the units: appliances, bathtubs, showers, etc. The sad part is that Vantage sold pretty well in comparison to many other mid & high rises in Las Vegas, but rising construction and labor costs as the time killed them.

  • I hate to say I told you so, but I told you so.

  • These as well as tons of other developments will never be finished, as they are now,it's likely they've been robbed and vandalized. Nobody's investing in real estate on that scale right now, there's a glut of unsold new homes on the market and the Vegas area is in a depression it's unlikely to see the end of anytime soon. This whole "economy" was based on going deeper into debt than You could afford, and people acted like it would just go on forever, funny!

  • I invested in a mutual fund/re fund that loaned these guys $37 Million dollars - we will never see 1 penny of it.

  • My family bought right next door to these in Versante and it is quite a shame that these were in fact never completed. It's funny to think that these were originally selling in the $400k's yet the single family homes across the street with the same views are starting in the $180k's. Hopefully they'll go ahead and finish these things. I may too run around in there one day and see how things now look.

  • And meanwhile Realtors are telling us "it is a great time to buy". Liars!!!!!!!!

  • I drive by these unfinished lofts often and I have always thought it was a shame they were never completed. I like the design and the views from the inside must be amazing. It is sad that they sit unfinished.

  • I live right below these apartments in Coyote Hills. And I remember anticipating the Vantage Lofts completion. They looked pretty, but when construction stopped, they left a huge cliff that me and my friends have fallen off of and a huge empty trashed ditch. I speak for the behalf of our neighborhood when I say I want these lofts completed. But they'll have a hard time selling these. The pictures of the Vantage as of 2011 didn't show all the damage and graffiti the building now has, rooms are t

  • I would never have known these existed. Thanks for the video!
