Director Guillermo del Toro and author Chuck Hogan discuss The Fall, the second installment in the Strain Trilogy. The pair are interviewed by the Brattle Theatre's creative director, Ned Hinkle.

The vampiric virus unleashed in The Strain has taken over New York City. It is spreading across the country and soon, the world. Amid the chaos, Eph Goodweather, head of the CDC′s team and one of a small group who have banded together to fight the bloodthirsty monsters that roam the streets, finally manages to identify the parasite that causes the infection. But it may be too late.

  • Started reading the strain and their writing is comparable to Michael Crichton at his best.

  • I'm sure you guys going to hate me becouse i don't dig vampires or the fall that i never read; but for anyone who cares about the filming genious of Guillermo DEL TORO these video is like "MECA" o holly grail of understandig him alog whith the one on 5 parts where he talk about CRONOS ( in spanish )... and i totally almost cry when he talked abouth Vorazity and twinky filled with cabiar, so moving and inspiring his philosophi of doing creative things on everything he ecounters... AMAIZING.

  • @EamonLoingsigh You're throwing shit at something you never even read because it has to do with vampires. Who the fuck are you to tell Del Toro that he can't write whatever the fuck he wants, whether it's about vampires or singing frogs? What's your fucking name, I want your office. I want to know who elected you to whatever position you're in that it's your fucking job to tell someone like him what he can and can't do. Until you know what it is you're talking about, kindly shut the fuck up.

  • @WhatImmortalHand

    No problem. You're welcome.

  • @bohajeho008

Sorry, just saw this now. You are great. Many thanks!

  • @WhatImmortalHand Juan Rulfo

  • Did anyone hear the name of the other writer GDT mentions at around 52:05 along with Borges? Thanks in advance.

  • @EamonLoingsigh There's no sense debating with someone who hasn't done their homework. Only a moron would speak out on a topic on which they have not educated themselves.

  • @parabyte I am only unhappy about the selection of a very mainstream topic and wish he would/could use his writing power to open new doors. Name callers... you bore me. Debate me instead of acting like chimpanzees.

  • @EamonLoingsigh << Yup, moron here. Obviously has not read the novels.
