Kaj shows us one of the features of Exped's exoskeleton tent designs. By leaving the inner tent at home and combining the poles, fly and tent footprint, you end up with a very lightweight and weatherproof shelter.

  • What's the weight of it? That's one of the most important features to me and other lightweight/ultralightweight backpackers.

  • @slodeth5: We did this particular video as an intro the concept of using just the poles and fly. On our website at exped.com you can find weights of all styles of tents listed in the specs. Look for the Ultralight Packers (poles/fly) weights...

  • Great Video my friend...you're one of the few that has shown yourself inside the tent as well as entering it...I'm not personally fond of having to crawl through the mud ( when it's raining or early morning dew ) to get a tent...nice tent too BTW !!
