Monks of the one of the Abbeys of the Solesmes Congregation sing this beautiful chant. The Te Deum is attributed to two Fathers and Doctors of the Church, St. Ambrose and St. Augustine and is one the most majestic chants in the Liturgy of the Church. It is sung in traditional seminaries and monastic houses at the Divine Office and for Double feasts of the First Class, The Nativity, Easter, Corpus Christi, Epiphany, Pentecost and those which have an Octave. The solemn Te Deum is sung on all occasions of public Church rejoicing (in Traditional Catholic Churches)

I suggest you contact the Monks of Clervaux in Luxembourg, these are the monks singing this recording of the Te Deum. I know the community and the Abbot personally, and they are wonderful godly people. Best wishes.

Yes this music certainly takes me back 30 years when I was a pupil at Buckfast Abbey, run by the Benedictines, not the De La Salle brothers. And further when I attended Downside Abbey for my formative years also Benedictine. My Benedictine education was the best thing to happen to me, it has made me the person I am today.

Very nice audio! I wish you would use a font colour so one can read text without focussing so much on trying to assemble words (of which many letters are invisible) that one cannot experience the music. Wrong font colour makes it impossible to get maximum benefit from both music and words simultaneously. The brain has to work too hard. Tragic error for such wonderful music deserviing understanding of verbal content. Thanks very much for the effort. If I memorize the text, then I can benefit more

Which one of your alter egos, is this supposed to be coming from?

You have proven time and time again that "you" are hardly what you present yourself to be. Is this particular comment coming from the ID, Ego or Superego? We'd all love to know.

You need to start practicing what you preach.

How is it that a person like you (or the person your pretending 2B)

that is a self professed understudy of a (master) Monk, can be so diminutive at times?

Thinking now; that you should go back to the Master Monk that you trained under and ask for your money back, for you are so inept of enlightenment it's ridiculous.

    ~Namaste lol

Can someone confirm if this is from the 5th century? It doesn't sound like it to me for some reason...

You are correct. He didn't really want to break away from the Church but to make it better. Unfortunately, pride can get the best of people no matter how good their intentions. I would say that the Catholic Church probably has more respect and sympathy for Martin Luther than his followers do for the Catholic Church. He meant well but bequeathed a legacy of individualistic religion and rebellion. Please pray for the reunification of all Christians.
