@FABLESFAN That was exactly the kind of thing that inspired the Watchmen. When you have someone in your country like Superman, having a war last more than a week is unthinkable without ending in your favor is unthinkable. In the Watchmen, the US wins the Vietnam war and annexes Vietnam because they have the superpowered being that no one else has. Superman could easily have taken on both the Japanese and German armies singlehandedly and saved many Allied lives.

...wow, looking back, this cartoon is pretty racist. Not that that is anything new for 1940s media, but yeah.

Actually, now that I think of it, its relatively mild in its racism if you compare it to some other stuff.

@DannLopez The Gov't never asked the Fleischers to stop production. Paramount forced the Fleischer brothers to resign because they were tired of the expense of these episodes.
