In the summer of 2006, USMC public affairs officer Amy Forsythe produced this report on Ramadi. The piece includes a field interview with her friend Captain Travis Patriquin, who would soon emerge as the key link between the U.S. military and Iraqi tribal sheiks launching a revolt against al Qaeda. Forsythe declared "this is a pivotal moment in history," which turned out to be quite true.
