You can never have enough videos of Mr. Bones on this site, so I decided to upload a clip of me playing my favorite stage in the entire game - Guitar Solo. Here each of the buttons represents a guitar riff, and you have to play with the beat to convert the skeletons that have been chasing and trying to destroy you and free them from the influence of Da Goulian.

Well, since Vista won't allow me to use any kind of capture devices, despite that this computer is 8X as powerful as my previous machine, I attempted the next best thing: Emulation! Pop in the Saturn CD, play with a bunch of menus for a half-hour or so, and I've got it working. But for some reason my timing sucks - I wonder if the beat track to guide you wasn't on sync with the program. Oh well. I recorded a few shows but I was only satisfied with this one. If you're a Saturn owner and stumble upon this I recommend it. I can't beat it using normal means but it's worth going through.

Funny how I stumbled upon the copy I have. I first saw the game in the Sega Screams demo disc (which I loved SOA so much from, I must've played the crap out of the demo at Sears), but it didn't make it to my collection. Take about ten years later, I grab the soundtrack online for the heck of it and knew I had to at least look for it, despite my chances of finding it which are laughable here. And that same week, at my local game store which hardly ever carries Saturn games, got ahold of it. God must've been listening or something. Wish I had that sort of luck when it comes to Guardian Heroes, Burning Rangers, Clockwork Knight 2 and Three Dirty Dwarves.

I've got a lot of games for all my systems, but for whatever reason I've found the Saturn to be my favorite.

And as always, trolling means you get blocked.

  • It wasn't released for anything other than the Saturn, I'm afraid.

  • dude that is fucking awsome i also heard durng this stage cant you press certain buttons too make your own music to win the the stage?

  • Yep, every time Bones flashes blue (good) or red (bad) that's me hitting one of the face buttons. I didn't realize as long as you're on beat you can interrupt what you're playing for something new.

  • the original guitar hero

  • Having a favorite stage in Mr. Bones is like having a favorite STD. You don't want any but you would hope for one of the less painful ones that can be cured with antibiotics.

Btw I uploaded a ton of playthrough videos of Mr. Bones. It was agonizing.

  • This was one of the most amazing games I ever played.

  • omg i cant believe how much i loved this game! i loved the drumming one aswell :)

  • oh yes, this was one of my favorite parts of the game. I think when i was a kid, i came up with an order that won me this stage without a single falure. Man it was fun coming up with your own combinations.

  • god, i completely forgot about this game :] it was so scary when i was little DX but so awesome :D
