I dig on funky gitbox pickin' w/a fiddle! I first started playing old time over 20 years ago now and funky guitar playing was all I knew. Got a lot of disapproving looks but I didn't care. I still like hearing it.

@altheathe11 Although I know what you mean, the guitar is the probably the newest instrument used in old time so any use of it is non-traditional. It seems like he probably plays irish backup which from time to time sounds pretty nice with old time tunes although I still generally prefer to hear so pretty bass runs.
