  • its not the english we were up aghenst, it was the bankers that were impersonating humans...

  • Who lIves by the duck..dies by the duck...i'm sorry i couldn't resist it..

  • Bless you Big Davie.

  • @oshcelt HE was a respectedand published historian. He sadly passed away, in Jan. this year.

  • I think you are confusing race with culture, being that plenty of Highland Clans have Scandinavian ,Pictish, Norman and Brythonic roots in their bloodlines, as indeed do many Lowlanders.

Being that the mans surname is Ross, he is almost certainly of Highland descent and is a respected, published historian

Finally, there were plenty of Highlanders in the Government army (Campbells, Grants etc), at Culloden, who were pro-Hanoverian, just as there were Lowlanders who fought on the Jacobite side.

  • The man has no idea of Scottish history, as he is a Lowlander this is understandable, they were not of the same race as the Gael and in 1745 readily hated the highlanders in fact they spoke a different language and lived opposite lives.Scottish culture, pipes, tartan, dirks broadswords , kilts are all highland.

The lowland Scots made up the bulk of the redcoat army at Culloden fighting against the highlanders who they hated above all. Slainte mhath an drasta, Mr Ross dressed to be Highland ?

  • He said the reason why the sun never set on the British Empire was that god did that as he didnt trust the English in the dark.

  • what did he say at 7:55. something about bread or the dark or something?

  • his name is david ross, he's an author and historian he's a funny guy. I see him every year at GFMHG

  • unfortunatelly lot of noise in the background, over all a good history round up.

    good work and knowledge.
