Wildland fire engine Off Road Driving at Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton. The Camp Pendleton Fire & Emergency Services is comprised of 11 fire stations and approximately 140 sworn and civilian staff. The fire department covers 17 miles of the interstate 5 freeway between Oceanside and San Clemente. The department is responsible for protecting approximately 225,000 acres of precious land and part of the Cleveland National Forest that borders the east side of the Base. It provides specialized services such as a Hazardous Response Team, advanced life support/paramedic service, swift water rescue and technical rescue. Our primary responsibility is the Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton however we provide Automatic Aid to our neighbors in the communities of Fallbrook, Bonsall, the cities of San Clemente and Oceanside. please visit us at firefighters web site at www.localf85.org
