This is one of the few games for the NES that is so bad it's good. Me and my buddies will always love this game. Yes, the arcade game was better, but I played this one so much, it stands out much more to me.

I remember this game haha as a kid I would play this all the time... I never bothered to read the story. Even though I knew what a Narc was I didn't realize what was going on. I was just playing because I like shooting games..... Great review what were they thinking...??

Glad I did not buy the NES port of NARC b/c I used to own the arcade cab and it was AWESOME! But then again I have a high level of respect for Eugene Jarvis b/c of games such as Robotron 2084 & Smash TV...

I never thought about this as a kid, but NARCs don't use rocket launchers. Do they? I don't know. I'll have to research that. It should have been some other kind of weapon like a shotgun loaded with explosive-tipped hollowpoint slugs. And it would have to be a semi-auto shotgun that could be fired one-handed. Walking around the streets with two guns laying waste to all who stand in your way. Reminds me of the police station raid scene from 'The Terminator'.
