The only "Rocketeer" at Disneyland from 1991 until November 2006 when finally removed and replaced with another figure. The employee who worked the popcornstand there said, "His time had come".

UPDATE-
This popcorn stand has been refurbished and returned to it's spot in Tomrrowland across from Space Mountain!

  • what song is this?

  • @makreis - "I Pagliacci" an opera by Ruggiero Leoncavallo.

  • wtf was that? Its not normal. Your right, who is the rocketeer and why ya'll miss im

  • This video is satire. "Its not normal", WTF is that supposed to mean?

  • "This popcorn stand has been refurbished and returned to it's spot in Tomrrowland!"- Is that with our without The Rocketeer? And who'd he get replaced by? Some lame Disney character, I'm sure.

Poor guy... such a great comic/movie character, and so unappreciated.

  • Disneyland had the little figure refurbished along with the popcorn stand.

Visitors to Disneyland report that it is not in it's usual place from time to time. Replaced with a different cart.

  • I have to say, this video and the music accompanying is fantastic. The rocketeer cranks away here, toiling away to win the hearts of the few who already know who he is. It is kind of sad, and the anguish that the music adds creates this whole feeling of empty hope. The promise of recognition is just beyond the glass, popcornteer. I'm sorry.

  • This is a masterpiece.

  • I cried :...(

  • They couldn't remake rocketeer right now if they wanted to. Ironman was basically a bad ass super rocketeer. The 1930's version wouldn't compete in the box office. Yet I am still a fan of rocketeer and would like to see a remake of it in the next decade.

  • If the the Quay Brothers had directed the Rocketeer, it probably would have looked something like this XD

  • I never noticed this popcorn-turner until I was there in January 2009. Was very nice to see Disney hasn't completely forgotten about their older, better films.

  • The Great American Hero reduced to this! WHy? WHy?

  • The Rocketeer had such potential. And then Disney ruined it.

  • He must really love popcorn!
