Abraham Lincoln (February 12, 1809 April 15, 1865) served as the 16th President of the United States from March 1861 until his assassination in April 1865. He successfully led his country through its greatest internal crisis, the American Civil War, preserving the Union and ending slavery.

    Slavery was not the main cause of the Civil War, it was over money.Money was also one of the main causes of the American Revolution.

    Who ever controls the money of any nation is absolute master of industry and commerce,

    Now, ask yourself. Why is Ameirca in so much debt? A nation that is sovereign should not depend on a private bank.

  • Abraham Lincoln should not be revered as much as the population does. This man was one of the causes of the American Civil War as it could have easily been avoided. If slavery was that cruel and not humane, why don't you look the the Union's industrialisation- (American Industrial Revolution) which used children to work. I think slaves would be a better alternative than child labour. Slavery would have phased out anyway, as the rest of the world have already stopped the use of slavery.

  • A more suitable soundtrack would have been 'Fanfare for the Common Man by Aaron Copland'
