Gerald was a friend of mine as kids in the late 60s I have no doubt he was murdered most likely by a B Special with a loyalist mob. Gerald was attempting to save other kids to get them to safety when he was gunned down. Rest in peace Gerald. As an Ex RUC officer I cannot condone the murder of this young man totally innocent.

This fine song by Ray Collins, who knew Gerald and his family well, says it all.
Unfortunately Gerald was only the first of many brave Irish youth who gave their lives in defence of thier people and in pursuit of justice and freedom! All honour to thier memory! Great job Peter! Seoirse MacDomhnaill
