This is my unboxing and first impressions video of the HP dm3; the dm3 is a new laptop from HP that's an evolution of the dv2 - it's thin, light, and not very expensive. It uses the AMD Athlon Neo X2 dual-core processor, a semi-low power processor that uses 18 watts of power, but delivers better performance than the Intel Atom processors found in netbooks. This particular model has 4 GB of RAM, uses a 320 GB 7200 RPM hard drive, has a memory card reader, ethernet, 802.11 a/b/g/n WiFi, Bluetooth 2.0, four USB ports, and HDMI out. The 13.3 inch wide-screen display is 1366 x 768 pixels in resolution (driven by an ATI Radeon 3200 GPU), and it has a built-in Webcam and microphone. The keyboard is full-sized, and the laptop features Altec Lansing speakers. The 6-cell battery is rated for up to six hours of battery life.

  • Hello, i am thinking to by this laptop for University. I also have a DV7 but it is to big and heavy to carry around. I have looked at netbooks but they are very small for me. I think 13 inches is the right size.

My question is, do you have any problems with the laptop. For example, with the keyboard, mousepad, or does it overheat make noice. And does it get scratches.

    Thank You.

  • @kartal1990bjk This was a review unit that I had for a couple of weeks - I can't make comments about long-term use. You might want to check out my review video of it though...this was just the unboxing video. :-)

  • hello greetings, buy HP Pavilion g4, pre-installed Windows 7 Starter, which is too simple, and look for a cereal and I could upgrade to ultimate, one day I found a system called windows8 download and install it, but it is in English, which do not quite understand and are not registered and I can not install the updates, so I can not switch to Spanish and try to restore the factory system, but disappeared recovery Manager, please re-install and recovery Manager?
