Messing around on a Sunday afternoon. This is an old traditional folky troubador type song. I picked it up from a version played by Tom Ball, and if there's anyone out there who knows how to play the chorus the same way that Tom plays it, get in touch! Tom Ball's an amazing guitarist, check him out if you get a chance. I did ask him how he did it, but he couldn't remember....:)

  • can you please give me some info about how to play this, is there a capo on the guitar? what chords? do you got sound tracks?

and do you still got the instruction book ?

    love your playing!

  • Hi there - pls check yr inbox! Thansk for all the very kind comments.

  • Well done! It new to me, but I'll check out Tom Ball.

  • Thanks - I picked this up from an instruction book he had out on dropped d tuning. He plays something great at the chorus which isnt in the transcript & i can't pick it up by ear. It's a fun piece to play though. TB's a much under-rated player (maybe cos his main instrument is blues harp) and plays some eclectic stuff. Shall I send you some mp3's?

  • I watched a few of his performances here on YT. Actually, I prefer your solo performance! His is good, but blues to me is kind of like bluegrass or heavy metal electric guitar. I can appreciate the performance, but it's not part of my regular diet :) Guess that's why I never got into Hendrix. My son-in-law is a Ted Nugent fan, but I tried listening to some of his stuff. It's not for me!
