Ding dong! merrily on high In heav'n the bells are ringing: Ding dong! verily the sky Is riv'n with Angel singing. REFRAIN Gloria, Hosanna in excelsis! Gloria, Hosanna in excelsis! E'en so here below, below, Let steeple bells be swungen, And "Io, io, io!" By priest and people sungen. REFRAIN Pray you, dutifully prime Your matin chime, ye ringers; May you beautifully rime Your evetime song, ye singers. REFRAIN Note: "Swungen" and "Sungen" in the second verse are archaic English verb forms.

I sang this song in school choir. It has 4 verses. It's an old song with a nice melody. Gloria Hosana Inexcelsis is latin. It means, "Glory to God in the Highest."

My favorite Christmas song of all time, and Roger Whittaker's voice just adds to its beauty so much! :) Used to listen to his Christmas music as a child while wrapping presents or baking cookies.
One of my all time favorite Christmas songs ever!!! It is such a pretty song!!!! Absolutely love it.....it reminds me of my childhood during Christmas, riding in the car doing some shopping or looking at lights all over Tulsa....and now with my kids....love, love, love it!!!!
