took me almost a month but finally i think i found the sound for my next project. now i use impulse responses - searched through hundreds of them, combining them in countless ways until i liked it. in the end i got some good results with some impulses from the "god´s cab" impulse pack. for the bass guitar i found a pretty good impulse of an ampeg bass cab.
also i build a new drum setup. i use superior´s avatar kit with the bass drum from the metal foundry. i messed around with the bass drum a lot until it nicely fit in this mix. got three different bass drum setups for different styles.
so tell me what you think.

  • Hey man I was wondering what you practiced as a guitarist because I'm stuck in a rut and I cant get out with my guitar playing ahah

  • @JaredCreations try looking for some new techniques to learn. i just tried to learn gradually and adding some new techs from shredding to sweeping to tapping (more complex tapping) and rhythm wise i just tried coming up with some weird patterns to learn some more precision.

  • man...

  • @mauricekindermann i´m not going to do an extra part on programming synth/piano. i simply use the key-editor for it. i like to use some of the free stuff by native instruments and other free synth to download. also the Halion1 of cubase has some good instruments. i actually don´t run any extra effects on those cause they mostly sound pretty good as they are.

  • @MojoJojo378 I just watched it then, thanks for posting :).

I think the next logical video for you to do is how you program synth/piano. It would just be interesting to see specifically what you do, including what plugins and what effects you run on them.

There was a time when I was trying to download Eastwest symphonic Orchestra, but I think that would have been over kill and a nightmare to learn. I assume you just use some basic cubase plugin?

  • @Metaljonus4020 seymour duncan blackouts. those come stock in the schecter c-7 blackjack atx. incredibly aggressive tone.

  • @MojoJojo378 I love the grid for mapping out drums on cubase. Sooooooo much easier than any other DAW I've fucked with. What kind of PUPs you using btw?

  • @mauricekindermann no, i do it all in cubase. if you haven´t watched part 7 of my tutorials yet than don´t hesitate to do it. in that one i explain how i create beats and how i come up with them.
