"attacked by terrorists"? You can see right where her mind goes; I doubt what she says is true, many people "hear" things in times of extreme stress and trauma. The man worked with people returning from these countries who had serious emotional and physical problems everyday, is it really a surprise he resisted going to a place that sent back so many broken men? I'm not saying he is justified in shooting, but there could be a psychological reason for this that has nothing to do with Islam.
