i love the tune and the idea that izmir was a cosmopolitan city... i also think that the words are "right on the dot" and in any case it is all about the "feeling" the overall feeling of an old lost world.... as the songs says kiss me and hold me today because tomorrow i'll be gone ..... and yes that world is long gone
