shakemahead: That's a silly assumption. But I do not particularly like American films, no matter who is in them. I don't like the American film industry. I watch almost all Brit, French, Spanish films. For one thing, I refuse to listen to any more Hollywood political opinions. For another, they are too glossy, 2 loud, 2 everything except "real." Hollywood years ago lost knowledge of the impact of subtlety...even silence. Currently love Ashes to Ashes. & saw and liked State of Play UK.
I'd just like to point out that the American public does not decide to remake shows. I'm an American and I'm perfectly capable of choosing the better show by myself, and it is nearly always the original BBC version. Not all of us are deluded fools.
I'm sorry if the remarks here offended you. I'm pretty sure most of the people here meant that the guys who decide which shows and movies to produce are the deluded fools and not all of the American public. (:
I'm probably just being touchy. For the most part I agree with what people say, but it's getting to the point where I can't watch a video on youtube without it having comments about how stupid Americans are. Yes America has stupid people, but so does every other country in the world.
I'm American and I agree. We have a few good American actors (e.g. Don Cheadle, Laurence Fishburne, Chalize Theron) but a lot of them are overrated (e.g. Colin Ferrell, Jamie Foxx). I'm actually a fan of british tv.
i hundred precent agree with you... british tv is not over the top where as american is no offence (im british) john simm and philip glenister kaaww m8 0_o lol.. jim carrey is good not sure wot he is...
