The European exclusive PS2 port of the PSP port of the same name.

This one is worth playing. Normally PS2 ports looks pixelated and blown-up as they would when stuck on the higher resoluion Playstation 2 format but Wipeout Pulse breaks from this mould. The presentation, graphics and sound all hold up on PS2 believe it or not.

While I say Wipeout has seen better days, Pulse did well to impress me on PSP with a streamlined single-player mode and online play. The multiplayer Ad-Hoc support is missing on PS2, but you've still got a sublime experience nevertheless. If you're a fan of the series, I highly recommend you pick this game up either for PSP or PS2.

  • Why does everyone hate Feisar? Its superior handing is a must at higher speed classes like rapier and phantom. It makes up for its lower speed with the extra handling advantage over other ships.

  • @Evilektr0nyk The future is Euro.

  • Ewwww, no stereo?

  • @Goldstar4me Not too sure why it didn't record in Stereo at the time, my capture hook-up has full composite support. I uploaded this video using my netbook which only has one speaker, so I didn't notice it was in mono until I heard it through a headset.

  • Did they enhanced the graphics? Or is it just like psp?

  • @Mababama It appears to be the same, maybe with a more stable frame-rate and obviously running at a higher resolution.

  • Nice. I never knew there was a PS2 version. I just installed Wipeout Pulse on my Vita and it's amazing. The frame rate is a solid 60fps and the loading times are practically non-existent. It plays and feels a lot like Wipeout HD on the PS3. The graphics are a little blocky but I can easily live with that. Worth checking out. :)

  • this is shit in comparison to wipeout fusion/hd

  • 3:55 to skip the intros and loading screens.

  • NOOOOOO! You should've taken AG Systems!

  • And I forgot to say Thank You for giving me an opportunity to see the PS2 port :) Didn't even know it existed until I caught this vid!

  • That's awesome they ported Pulse over to PS2 - and awesome vid btw - but Sony really pisses me off. I'm a hardcore American Wipeout fan - have played every Wipeout ever - and all Sony ever does is screw us over. They don't release any of the Special Editions in the US, and now the newest Wipeout game is only for Vita. Big fat Samurai Warlord ups and natty glock respek to the Wipeout community but stank chunks of poop DISrespekt for Sony's weak handling of the best franchise in gaming history.

  • I still prefer the psp version, just for the portability. Btw, try putting the HUD on dynamic most, i looks amazing.

  • Haha turning is still a bitch I see.
