"Don't run"

Screams of terror echoed in Hogwarts. Also smoke flared up out of nowhere and I could smell or even taste something burning.
Millions of angry bees swarmed the outside air that I saw through the transparent roof. Suddenly my line of vision intensified; they weren't bees but fairies. Not the fairies you see on television, they looked fierce armed with little rifles scouting the skies. Their dresses was made of leaves and the marks on their faces weren't make up but actually cuts that made them even more scary. These were the times when children movies seemed beauty. They weren't firing though; they seemed vigilant but also careful as if searching for someone. The Ground clapped sending up thousands of vibrations as what it seemed like soldiers came marching on. They had friends. These guys must look as terrifying as the bees.
I pushed Ms. Belle off of me. She felt cold as ice and pretty sure looked dead. I wonder should I leave her here. She did try to make me feel comfortable. Even if I don't know what she is, she still tried to help me. She was the only one out of many; she didn't turn back or insult. She at least deserves to be buried.
I grabbed her and headed out to the hallway which was the wrong idea. Students rushed and pushed about frantically hoping to get out of here alive. These were the times when I bet they wished they paid attention in class, so at least they could pick up a spell or two to defend themselves. In the midst of the pushing I realized something. I heard his voice above the rest like on New years but it wasn't a celebration. I can't believe I forgot someone and dang he was the only family I had left; Kevin.
"Bro we got to get to the cafeteria. Dumbeldore wants everyone there. It's the only place that is has an extra spell to keep unwanted persons out"
Note to self: the place with the food.
"Help me carry her, she got shot!" I gave him her hand which he hesitantly took.
"She looks dead already!"
"Tell me something I don't know!"
The steps stood in front of us. Thousands of nests with little mad ants scampered down the stairway. It reminded me of the black sea. With the millions of steps and the hustling and pushing; there was no way we would get down without getting run over.
"I think I know a different way there. Follow me!"
With that I was left trusting my brother. The brother that would freak if he knew I was a cutter. The brother that would kill himself if he lost his wand; the brother who wasn't quite real to me as he ever was to the real world. Yet I trusted him because he seemed in the right frame of mind and that I was more vulnerable at being a target than him.
Instead of going down we went up. The sky became more detailed and I noticed that some shiny specks lingered in the air.Then suddenly they began arranging themselves into lines. I didn't get it until my brother told me. I also didn't realize that he caught me staring.
"They are forming some type of net. They are trying to make sure what's in stays in and so does out."
"But why would they want to do that if they are attacking us? Why don't they just make a quick sweep and just go?"
Who would've thought we would be attacked by fairies? It's not even in story books.
"It seems more like defense to me."
My brother said stopping and looking at me. We were like almost near the roof. Just a few more meters and I could touch it.
"But what could they be defending?"
I got my answer.
Mind got transferred back into the blazing fire and I remembered not to run. They wanted to help me, so now they came here for me. They didn't want a fight. The barriers of Hogwarts did nothing to keep the knights out but yet they just stood by and waited. The fairies didn't attack and I could see the air clearing. Somehow they knew they got through to me. My mind like she implied was easy to break in.
"You are special"
