2 very large Western Red Cedar trees of the Pacific Northwest located on the trail known as Gerry's Escape just north of Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada; the home of many record breaking massive trees. Massive trees in the rain forest were very common in the area up until quite recently when clear cut logging devastated the region with their logging equipment. Even forest fires did not wipe these enchanted forest giants out or the invasion of deciduous forests which overshadow the deep forest coniferous species. Forest animals thrive in these rain forest groves similiar to the ones in Stanley Park. Have a look at some of the record big trees, the champion of the forest giants, the world's largest bigtree, in this case a Western Red Cedar, sought after by many a big-tree hunter that strive to find the champion trees of the world. British Columbia, Canada, is world reknowned for the biggest of the bigtrees, the tallest trees, the oldest trees, and the finest big tree forests. I am sure the Western Canada Wilderness Committee would like to know about these world record West Coast trees in the Greater Vancouver watershed that rival the Stein, Carmanah and Clayoquot heritage big-tree sites.
The Largest western Red Cedar in the world is in lake Quinault, Washington USA and the Largest Spuce in the world is also in the Quinault Rainforest on Lake Quinault That is according to the American Forest Asso. Those are some nice big trees up in BC.

I think the Red Cedar near lake Quinault has been de-throned. There was a bigger one found on Vancouver Island, BC, Canada.
