@thekeirwilkins "This video is ridiculous."
==
You are like saying tax should be paid voluntary.
Just a handful of voluntary millionaires contribution is not going to make a dent and they know that and you don't.
The economy was booming when they were legally required to pay high taxes, yet none of them were hurt except their feelings.
If you think paying tax to the gov. is waste, money stays in bank account is even more useless.
Money has to keep moving or the economy slows down.

This video is ridiculous. If these individuals want to pay more for science or infrastructure or innovation, then they can willingly donate there own money to do just that? That leads to the point, why haven't they been doing it up until now, or if they have been doing it, why do they want to be able to do less of it?
Furthemore, government will be worse at investing their money into the future than them themselves! Throwing more money at the federal government will just continue the problems!!
-
How do we know that these people on the video are really millionaires? Do they have names I can look up? I'm just saying.
-
this is just stupid....this video was made for people are already hurting (like myself) and not sure what to do. It tries to provides a scape goat for larger issues that aren't as easily defined. I think the position decribed by this video is convoluted and in fact doesn't really say anything. Am i suppose to be pissed at the gov after watching this or rich people? one of those people said "why should we wallow in our wealth?" what a ridiculous thing to say!
-
Awww poor millionaires. Don't worry, you can now send me a check for $100,000! Awesome right! :D
-
Why don't they just pay their employees more money with the tax cuts? That will make their employees happier, estimulate the economy and make them feel better. The government doesn't need to tax the rich. The rich need to pay their employees better. Money should be in the hands of the people, not the government.

Even if the US government got more money from the millionares, they would NOT spend it on public education and infrastructure!!!
They would spend it on WAR to increase the income of the richest of the rich since the spending of tax money is manily controlled by the enemies of a democratic system: the Rockefellers, Rothschilds and so on.

elated You would pay for the death of tens of thousends of innnocent people in Iran, Syria and many other oil owning countries!!!

For all the millionaires on this video or who like this post, if you still feel like paying more than the 40%+ that the government taxes you right now, you are welcome to write a check to the IRS. Just in case you need to be reminded, you can do this today. Here are the instructions. Don't be a hypocrite, have some integrity and let your actions speak louder than your words. Citizens who wish to make a general donation to the U.S. government may send contributions to a specific account call

I'm sick and tired of the charity bull shit. Taxes are a superior way to help poor people, because they are applied by a non-partisan entity, the government. unless you elect Reichwingers, of course ... ;)
@derekeano Gates is an example of a person with great wealth who does good things with it. Not all rich people are bad and the 99% doesn't begrudge anyone from having great earned wealth. It's great wealth gained by cheating and taking from those with less that is the problem. The problem is with people like the Kochs who inherit great wealth, then use it to work against the interests of the rest of us, or the banksters who cheat people out of their homes and money.
