Ten year ago, Republicans made a mistake. They gave tax cuts to millionaires. They decided our country needed less money and millionaires needed more.

Now our country doesn't have the money we need to build an economy that will work for all of us.

We need better roads to transport our products; faster internet for our technology companies; and more research at universities to spark our innovation.

Taking money from our future and giving it to millionaires is un-American.

Put America ahead of politics: END TAX CUTS FOR INCOMES OVER A MILLION DOLLARS.

ACT: Sign the petition supporting the Patriotic Millionaires as they demand higher taxes then call Boehner's office at (202) 225-6205 (PatrioticMillionaires.org)

I became a millionaire this year and I support higher taxes on income over $250K like President Obama has proposed. Millionaire incomes should be taxed higher because it is the right and the patriotic thing to do in order to go forward and rebuild our economy. Even when millionaires were taxed at 90% they still got richer and President Obama is not proposing anything remotely close to that. There is no excuse for not taxing the rich!

Funny thing. I guess I missed it, but I didn't see a real estate infestor or any banking/hedge fund/financial maggot among those "patriotic" millionaires. I only saw successful wealth/job creators, not finaglers and manipulators.

You might have a point if "Rich people claiming they care so they want to be taxed, but refuse to just give their money to the needy themselves" were true, but since in this case it isn't, you're just a giant widely reviled asshole.

Preaching caring for the poor while not caring for the poor is hypocritical, buy a dictionary.

Why wouldn't you want to donate your money to charity instead of paying taxes that go to financing endless wars in the middle east??>? wanting to raise taxes is not only self destructive but destructive to others especially with all the wars going on now

But it isn't helping each other is it? It's the majority forcing the majority to submit under threat of violence.

Obama has managed to persuade you sheepish liberals to demand higher taxes when the real problem is escalating government expenditure. The government does not need to be spending 30% of GDP, regardless of where the money is sourced from. Republicans/Democrats are all the same, they all want to spend, they just want to get the money from different places, it's sickening.

It will only help if ALL people do it not just the willing. Point of living in a society is to help each other.
