you're in a big wrong too. because we need to find something we like and that's the point. that's the matter the opensource is about. if you like or not is you're problem...

Finding *good* Linux os's is a problem. Have messed with PC-BSd and plan to try it on an old laptop with type II pcmcia cards.

what do u mean you couldn't find a desktop linux distro that works for you, that's ridiculous :) as far as software management goes, i admit that's a big problem... on freebsd! ;) anyway, choice is good, so pc-bsd is welcome... freebsd was definitely missing something like that
