@CoDWikiTMOI a bit of a tangent, want to declare before hand I'm not having a go at you or records. However are they more durable because people take care of them or because they can take more of a punishment. I'm just thinking about how people treat their iPods (throwing it around, etc) as compared to how records are treated (at least how I see them treated, with care and respect) again not having a go at you

Happy birthday, Jack Kerouac (March 12). This music is a carry-over from the era of The Beats. Words to live by and to dream by, good people.

@lalahobbes That's the problem with stuff nowadays. If you buy an iPod and put all these great songs onto it, it can easily be broken or outdated to the point where you cannot listen to it, as opposed to with a record and a record player, the records are far more durable, longer lasting, (along with the player) and you can normally always be able to convert different electric current to what you desire. Technology is making it harder for you to be able to keep good music.

My dad was telling me about when he got Chuck Berry's autograph and even got to give Aretha Franklin a kiss. Makes me jelly.

Is it wrong that I'm 25 and only want to have children so I can expose them to the good music my parents exposed me to?
