Wildflower by John Neville

Chorus

Don't know where I'm coming from
don't know where I'm bound
Don't think I'll be leaving
take some time to hang around

I've seen the Redwood Forest
I've seen the windy plains
Seen the red mud of Arkansas
seen the Indiana rains

But the sunshine in your brown eyes
takes me where I've never been
and I wonder if your bright smile
will make me pass this way again

and the golden things you say to me
paint pictures in my mind
of April mountain wildflowers
in a place that I can't find

When I left my home four years ago
wasn't much more than a boy
knew that I was looking
wasn't sure that I knew why

I went to Arizona and I thought
I found the sun
Then the road was calling
found my travels just begun

and when I stood on Highway 1
and heard the ocean roar
I knew that what I had to find
was going to take a whole lot more

When I see the simple wisdom
and the smile upon your face
I know that you can teach me
Won't you help me find my place

Chorus
