Seen the red mud of Arkansas
seen the Indiana rains

But the sunshine in your brown eyes

and the golden things you say to me
paint pictures in my mind
of April mountain wildflowers
in a place that I can't find

When I left my home four years ago
wasn't much more than a boy
knew that I was looking
wasn't sure that I knew why

I found the sun
Then the road was calling
found my travels just begun

and when I stood on Highway 1
and heard the ocean roar
I knew that what I had to find
