@jondalton007 though Soviet Union lost around 10million soldiers and 5 million captured, they managed to kill around 4 million Germans (75% of all Nazi loses) and capture another 3 million. And thats without civilian casualties. So saying US is to salute for freeing Europe is far-fetched. Granted, everybody played their role, but lets stick to the facts here!
@jondalton007 nice job throwing Russia out of WW2 completely. Saying singlehandedly is way too arrogant. First landing of US troops was in Italy in 1943. Famous D Day occurred in June of 1944! You know what else happened during June and July of 1944? Russian army pushed Germans back from their border, through Ukraine, Belarus, Poland and till German borders. The whole eastern front was on their shoulders for years.
@jondalton007 What ever you say, I might not be 90 years old and lived though the war, but my family did, one member was in a Nazi prisoner of war camp, dont forget the British empire won WW1 alone with the largest and most power navy in the world, the current US navy is only 25% of what the Royal navy was, the Germans ran when they saw the Dreadnoughts, we won in Africa also, and helped you in the Pacific, we sent dreadnoughts.
@Elitepoosniff Another thing... You are refering to me as the US by saying you dropped the bomb. This is completely incorrect. I am a US citizen just like you are a British citizen but neither of us are the entire country and I am assuming that neither of us were alive and capeable of any decisions regarding these events. Therefore refering to me as the US is incorrect just as refering to you as Britian. Sorry it is just one of my pet peevs when sombody does that.
@Elitepoosniff Isnt all war a crime, like seriously the just war theroy is complete bullshit. There is no such thing as a pure just war, in every war ever civilians were killed. I hope this is something that we can both agree on because if you belive that no innocent lives were lost in any war, you would just be a complete retard. Now dropping the bombs was bad but look at the other options. Its like being stuck between a rock and a hard place.
@Elitepoosniff The amount of lives saved buy droping the two atomic bombs was an estimated 1.3 million on the allied side alone (including britain), the japanese casualties would have been far greater. Plus taking japan by invasion would have taken 10 years, 10 more years of death.
@jondalton007 Yeah and what a load of complete shit was that... the US should go on war crimes for nuking civilians going along with there normal daily lives then get turned into dust, fuck the US.

I like how people will argue with complete strangers about opinions.
Opinion: A view or judgment formed about something, not necessarily based on fact or knowledge.
