iShare's Cup - Almeria - Day 01

Ecover holed but first day goes to BT
At the end of day 1 at the final iShares Cup in Almeria, Mike Golding's Ecover suffers another holing with serious damage to both hull and transom. Oman Sail Masirah scored 2 race wins in the 4 races today to remain the dominant team in the scrap for the overall leaderboard but it was BT who had the best day to finish top of the iShares Cup leaderboard. The public of Almeria turned out in force to enjoy this new sailing spectacle held in glorious conditions, cheering all the boats and especially the Spanish team 'Go Almeria' as the boats within touching distance of the shore.
