I don't like Spanish language ( sorry, I don't think it's ugly, just I prefer other languages), but this version is really beautiful and Spanish in this song sounds so great for me! ^^

@EzawynTLK I see. That's very cool. It's funny, I've taken Spanish for five years, but I couldn't tell you which dialect we're being taught. We never use the 'vosotros' conjugation-- that's used mostly in European Spanish, no? But all vocabulary is just kind of whatever the dictionary tells us is correct. So my Spanish is probably linguistically correct, but regionally awkward no matter where I go.

I'm curious-- why do they bother making separate dubs of all of these movies for both European Spanish and Latin/Mexican Spanish? I mean, I realize that one is more likely to use a certain phrase than the other and whatnot, but both are easily and mutually understood, no? It's always struck me as the difference between American and British English, and no one makes separate British dubs. Is there some jarring difference between the two Spanish dialects that I'm missing?

@MoonShadow5973 Well, the same happens with european/canadian french and european/brazilian portuguese... Of course I understand perfectly latin spanish, but there are soooo many differences between latin and euro... In fact all disney's movies from little mermaid to the past are dubbed only in latin spanish., because it was cheaper, but since 1991, with the beauty and the beast, we have different dubs.

@EzawynTLK Oh, really? That's really neat! If you don't mind me asking, what are some of the main differences between Latin Spanish and European Spanish?
MoonShadow5973 11 months ago
@MoonShadow5973 Well, the intonation is the most obviously: both seems different languages! Then it would come the accent, words that we use in different ways, verbs that only exist in latin or euro spanish... We understand each other, of course, is the same language, and we could "survive" only with one dub, but you can´t avoid thinking "man, this is not the way I speak" while you listen the other version.
