  • I've always thought this classical was one of beethoven's or the likes. and i've always loved it,..now when i found out that it was made by our own, my anger n frustration towards the so called "ethiopian arts & culture" ministry was one lousy cabinet.

what a piece of art it is. just beautiful.

    R.i.p Dr Ashenafi Kebede !

  • I was about 11/12years old when my dad went on a trip to Etheopia.

He came back with an EP with exactly this version of "The shepherd with the flute"

We listened to it over and over again, untill the EP was totaly worn out, and sounded much like this...

Since 5 years he sufferd from C.O.P.D...a horrible lung desease.

He was the sweetest, kind hearted man anyone could ever meet.

    Yesterday he passed away...

I wish I had some kind of copy of this symphony in my posesion.

    Rest in peace Dad!

  • wish Ethiopia the best of futures... for all it's people! i am tired of being ethnicist ! i love all my Ethiopian brother and sisters! we are all related after all!

  • Some body from Radio Ethiopia, please find and upload better quality of this music! this is poor quality.

  • If Mozart and Bethhoven heard this music ,they would raise their hat and bow to Ashenafi. What a shame that this piece does not have international audience.

  • it takes me back to my lovely country, ethiopia. am playing with konejajit behasabe!!!lol everything is there ,ezih min ale?

  • @Elthiopia freetyping.geezedit.com

  • This is really quite beautiful piece of music and it is remakable that a composer of this high talent is not as celebrated as strongly as western composers.

Enchanting, timeless and deeply comforting music indeed!

  • Dear Sir, I enjoyed this piece immensely. I would encourage you to recapture some of the Ethiopian music, particularly those considered as "anthems" by many because they are timeless to your list of postings and compositions. This is true music designed to warm the heart and not just as merchandising. I thank you!

  • @Elthiopia I use freetyping.geezedit.com

  • @yeabeshalij1 Dude, can you tell me where to go to type in Ge'ez like that??? Cause I looked all over the internet and i can't seem to find it. What's really surprising is that it's not even in google translator.
