P.C. Stamp is involved in a serious accident in which he kills a pedestrian while reversing the area car down a one-way street in response to a call for urgent assistance.
@jonwiley ok agreed tony was in the wrong. but dont forget that there was a truck blocking the road which was delaying them from getting to polly's assistance and lets be honest if you hear an urgent assistance call on the radio your first reaction is "i need to get there any which way possible and i need to get there quick. polly was close to getting assaulted ok. she managed to gain control of the situation to cancelled her call for assistance but tat's not the point
Fair enough. And yep to the jury system. A variety of voices needed to ensure that one person's view, which may not match the majority view, doesn't result in the wrong verdict. Just look at the naked rambler dude - convicted in a magistrate's court, but found not guilty every single time when tried by a jury
I disagree. Police cars HAVE to speed to get to places int time, as seconds count. Even one second can mean the difference bwteen life or death. And if someone hears a siren, they know it's coming from somewhere nearby so should look around. The guy just walked into the street. He was in the wrong.
True, but don't forget it was a ONE WAY street and Tony was driving up it the wrong way. The pedestrian would have been expecting a car from the opposite direction that Tony was driving. Tony was clearly wrong

I want Smithy to leave, if I am honest, his character has changed so much over the last 10 years.

We'll have to agree to disagree. I believe Tony was in the wrong, but who can say for sure? It's why we have a jury system, I suppose.

@jonwiley maybe he would, but it was pretty obvious that someone was idiotic enough to walk into the road when they could hear a siren nearby
