Ustad Rais Khan is simply number one in our time .. he feel touch capacity to build a mood is beyond anyone in this century.... to few seem capable to appreicate Ustad.

@MrAtulshah, Ustad Rais Khan Saheb's playing is the closest it can get to human voice (Gayaki), very delicate and emotive. He is a legend. I know a lot about his music, but sorry, why should i know about his wife, his kids, his house in Mumbai! and how does that matter anyways!
but, there will be people who may not like/understand, and frank enough to express their feelings.... u should be open enough to hear them......using foul language is very easy, i can do it better

Past 594.Please dont be like that .I am the most happiest cultured soul .OK.I love him .Uncle Ustad Rais Khan & aunty lived with us for three months and many other times with his two sons .growing up with the boys I got fed up listning daily Rihases.The boys done well in music including the one in Bombay.ok whilst I had to do my home work & school.I learnt music my kind ok. so that is to that.we have his music & ghazals that you have'nt heard ever.ok.Including other many top guns.tin tin dong.

Jhinjhoti always gives me the sense of the culmination of a laborious ascent into a high, serene, beautiful place - a climb out of the darkness into a place of light, air, and vastness. For me Rais Khansaheb evokes this feeling of being elevated to sublime hights to perfection. The remainder of the vilambit gat is just as beautiful, I feel. Listen to it all. Wonderful, wonderful.
