I like my Roland VR-760, but I don´t know exactly why. I think, the look of the Key is very nice, drawbars, keys color (light yellow, like old) and the Knobs and the Pads( like by XP30). And the sounds are anyway good, but the aftertouch and touch response of the keys are very bad, and that make that the key is not friendly to play and this is a really pity, however, I hope, you like my shuffle song. Ohh and sorry for the keyclicks on the recording, that was a open record with my photo camera. Next time I will put the camera in another place. Cheers!! Saludos !! Grüße!!

  • ... nicely played !

But what an awful sound of this plastic crap keyboard. I have the pleasure to own an 1957 Hammond B3 - god, what a difference ...

  • Hi Kicki355,

thanks for your comment, ohh yes this noise of the keys is a horror.

I have an 1973 Hammond B3+leslie 122 too, this is one on of the latest of electromechanical B3 ! I play it only on my studio lamentably and for the rehersals with my band, This beautiful mastodon weight 140 kilos:-)

  • I REALLY need to find one of these. Very hard to find. I was selling keyboards when this came out, and anyone who came in to look at the new Hammonds would almost always walk out with one of these instead. Awesome sound, amazing feeling keybed. I promised myself I'd get one for myself then they discontinued them, and have become EXTREMELY hard to find. If anyone has one for sale, let me know!

  • Hi Rocinante. Maybe do you speak spanish? Due to your nikemane;-)

Thanks for your comment. I sell now my VR760, Price 1250Euro. The Key is like new with all orig. accesories like, Manual, Noterest, Power Cable and a 32Mb CF Card. Please tell me if do you wannt it. I live in Germany (Bayern). Where are you from? Cheers, saludos. Rubén.

  • this sounds very good! way cool! have you owned any other hammond clones that you will recommend a "beginner"?

  • @paimun67

    ... wonderful, congratulations for your B3 !

The clones of today have become impressively authentic - ideal for the stage. But the old ladies are the originals - and will ever be. They have so much charme ...

  • rocinante, selling one now in California. Write me if you're interested!!!!! opee4us@yahoo.com

  • GREAT!!!

  • impressive :D

bought one of these too a while ago, what an instrument... Pretty hard though to play the bassloops with the left hand

  • friend of mine just snagged one from ebay for a 1k

  • I wish I could, but just spent my "synth boner fund" on an Oberheim MC3000 controller. I'll have to wait and replenish my funds for the VR. MUST HAVE ONE OF THESE!!!!
