  • uhhh ako i live in canada and umm..sa masasabi ko onti nga lng talaga ang mga canadians....pocha ang daming pinoy nga dito eh...i live in alberta and parang nasa antipolo lng ako na may mga pinoy at pagkalamig lamig..hehe parang tagaytay lng..ang daming pinoy na nag tratrabaho.....and canadians understand naman us so i guess we ARE the 3rd Largest English Speaking Country in the world!!hehe

  • hahahaha...u know when time comes probably philippines will be no longer call as a 3rd english speaking country..u know why?goverment here isn't that good..if we would just change our goverment maybe we could be the number 1 english speaking country..our goverment kasi wala silang pakialam..they dont care about education..they just care about corrupting..pasalamat nln tau sa mga guro na kahit maliit sweldo nila still they still manage to teach ...

  • ahhkainis, D wiki was a good find. if this is accurate, then i was right about India. Although China has about 0.77% of its pop who speaks english now, they will catch up really fast due to their economic rise. I was completely unaware of Nigeria. Nevertheless, I always doubted about Phil maintaining its position on the 3rd spot. We still have room for improvement though. I wonder if our new gen is just slacking behind? Lack of funding? Gov't system ineffective? What's your pick on that?

  • look at the masters of nation pang 18th tau!newest results daw un!ui oo nga pla its not BYE pero by!hehehehe

  • ay gnun?

i look and search and i found out if you would include great britain and usa then the philippines will rank 5th as a english speaking country..cause look!

    1st USA

    2nd India

    3rd Nigeria

    4th U.K

then 5th Philippines! if you wont believe then look at it bye simply typing at the web List of countries by English-speaking population - Wikipedia, the free ...then look at it in wikipedia!hahahaha

  • ahhkainis,We have always been regarded as D 3rd largest english spkng cntry in D wrld, next to USA & Great Britain. I just recently checked on the population of other english speaking countries like Canada and Australia. I found out that their population is only in the 33 million (Canada) and 22 million (Australia). D Phil. is definitely D 3rd largest speaking country in the world for now. But I think India and China are in D fast lane and is definitely going to overtake Phil soon.

  • eh eh!why would u include those country!syempre di un kasama sa mga english speaking countries kasi that's there official language na!..sa pag base kaya tau 3rd because where a country kung saan we have our own language but yet we still manage to speak english!pilipinos are smart..kahit beggar kahit papaano nkakaintindi ng ingles..kaya lng our goverment!SUCKS!hahahaha!atska almost all our population knows how to speak english!

  • rcamil41, this is the first time I checked Canada and Australia population and I am glad I did. I have always thought they a very large country with population greater than ours in the PI. I just quickly looked on the internet and it says Canada's population is about 33 million, while Australia is about 22 million. I did not bother verify the facts coz the difference is sooo huge. I think it is about right, do you think so?

  • rcamil41, that's really very intriguing comment. Do you know what their population is like in Canada and Australia? I'll try to look it up too but if you have the answer, please forward it. Tnx a lot!

  • if im not mistaken we have a bigger population compared to Australia and Canada..
