The Vineyard Energy Project is an organization dedicated to creating energy self-reliance on Martha's Vineyard. By raising awareness through education and installation, VEP has increased the number of solar panels significantly and has presented an alternative to costly fossil fuels. As of December 2006, the Vineyard had 90 solar electric systems, a total of 150 kilowatts. This clip presents Vineyard resident Susan Wasserman relating why she opted for solar and what her and other's efforts mean for the island and other communities.
