Also in the top 10 albums of all time was Barry Whites 'THE MAN'. Wow that LP was the greatest musical creation of the 70s and i am glad to have been born so close to it's creation, i feel part of it because i was born so close in history to it's genesis, that is such a cool feeling,I feel the same way about all the great soul/disco/funk that was made in the last 40 years, so good to have been born so close to all those beautiful soul singers, i think GOD is trying to tell us ALL SOMETHING. WOW

I am glad to see there are people on here who appreciate the GENIUS of this guy. On this album, he uses the orchestra better than Barry White does on his songs, the only man that could. This is in my all time TOP TEN ALBUMS, 4 songs on here go straight into my top 100 soul songs of all time. If Otis Redding and Sam Cooke lived they would of matched the quality of Barry and Solomon, as it is Barry just out funked Solomon, playing more funky tunes, maybe Solomon eat to many hamburgers.

It's a sad day to learn that this musical genius passed away yesterday on 10/10/10. The announcement in the paper stated that " his popularity never matched that of those he influenced, comtemporaries including Marvin Gaye and James Brown, a reality he accepted with grace and frustration." He will surely be missed

Thank you so much fo rposting this song. I have been looking for this song forever. My first boyfriend would play this for me in 1974 - thinking that he could get some nookie. He didn't get any but Solomon could have just by the way he sang this, so smooth.
