It makes sense why she got fired. It's within companies policies to not allow ANYONE to use other things to their advantage that has NOTHING to do with their jobs. Facebook is something you do on your OWN time and not during work. Obviously, that person has no work ethic at all.

@lcrread Yes, that's true. company pays for computers, internet for all workers to work for them and all workers get paid. They not allow workers take advantage of company computers. So what is wrong with that go home and use your own computer?

Yes, that's true. I agree with this. I worked telephone company and I required to follow company's code of compliances that can not use any websties only business is business and policy too.

Many companies have policies/rules about Facebook or using company's computer for personal usage. The company is paying them to work, not to play around on the computer, IMs, or checking personal emails during company's hours. I know some say they were on break, or lunch break, etc. Sad to say, "Policy is policy". To protect yourself, stop/refrained yourself from using facebook, or any non-related work activities on your computer at work, unless you got permission from your boss or manger.
