God is whoever the believers define him to be, and within the confines of their own definition of God, all the believers are right.

  • But if a person defines God as an individual such as Obama for example and says Obama created the earth and universe, can you actually declare that believer is right?

  • @jagg1951 If you are asking how can both people be correct if one defines God as blue and the other defines him as yellow, then you have missed the point of the video (which is concept oriented). Try not to apply time-space-related notions to LTS-related idea like God.

I can't call myself an atheist, but I do see religion as temporary. Existence of religion comes down to the central question of was life created by a deity or was life created by non-life? Science solves the pieces more logically and objectively than religion, but fails to project means of moral guidance. I think humans are capable of being moral beings without the existence of religion. It will never happen, but it is possible.

What does time and space have to do with whether someone's definition of a deity is correct. Time is a matter of sequencing occurrences. Space is area that not occupied. If I take away the two I become frozen.

If I believe the universe is created by a flying octopus who constantly dances to reggae music, I could be wrong. Even religious people don't always assert their faith to be correct. "It's what I believe in."

  • Athiests aren't debating about how a certain "wine" "tastes". We're saying that what religious people are "drinking" isn't actually "wine"; it's "kool-aid".

That is not at all what I meant. Not a perception of who Obama is, but the reality. Did Obama create the universe. However writing this I now realize you are quite correct, my own belief allows it to be true tn that I believe there is only one awareness and each of us is a product or expression of that awareness that is all. We do not exist physically at all everything is just a dream of our collective consciousness.. thanks for the opportunity to see this as a revelation.
