Diane Abbott - A Twitter Racist?

Shadow health minister Diane Abbott is facing calls to resign over controversial comments posted on the social networking website Twitter.

The Labour MP wrote: "White people love playing 'divide and rule'. We should not play their game."

The remark came during an online conversation with a freelance journalist in the wake of the sentencing of two men for the racially-aggravated murder of Stephen Lawrence.
