"Passion touch relay" in Canberra, Australia, is it true?

We, Australian Chinese and Chinese overseas students expressed outrage at the serious sabotage to the Beijing Olympic Torch Relays in London, Paris, San Francisco and some other places!

With righteous indignation, over 20,000 Australian Chinese and Chinese overseas students mobilized themselves spontaneously, and converged on Canberra, the Australian Capital, on 24th April 2008.

However, instead of condemning the act of sabotage to the Beijing Olympic Torch Relay and the violation of the Olympic Spirits, the Western media, including some Australian media, described us, Australian Chinese and Chinese overseas students, who came to Canberra at our own expenses and supported voluntarily the Beijing Olympic Torch Relay on Australia soil as "mobs", vilified us as " rent-a-crowd", "hired" by the Chinese Embassy"!

To refute Western media's distorted press coverage, after many days and nights hard work, we have now produced this video.

We hope the world can be just and fair to see why thousands of Australian Chinese and Chinese overseas students joined the peaceful move to safeguard the Beijing Olympic flame voluntarily, because we did not wish to see the peaceful torch relay be sabotaged as in London and Paris, because we love our motherland and hate the Tibet-independence supporters for splitting China.

By viewing the video, one can see a Chinese overseas student provoked by Tibet-independence supporters was beaten to bleed, we hope the world can be just and fair in seeing the facts, and will not be misled by Western media.

Because: -

From Western media reports, protests of Tibet-independence supporters were magnified, and you cannot see the warm support of the Beijing Olympic Torch Relay by majority of the people around the world, in particular the developing countries.

From Western media, you cannot see the fact in history that, Tibet has already been part of China since the 13th century.

From Western media, you cannot see the fact in history that, the 1st Dalai Lama was appointed by Chinese since 18th century.

From Western media, you cannot see the fact in history that, it was the colonial United Kingdom, who was the first to invade and attempt to separate Tibet from China in the late 19th century.

From Western media, you cannot see the fact in history that, the human rights of Tibetan people got tremendous improvements since Dalai Lama fled to India in 1959.

From Western media, you cannot see the fact that, China got tremendous achievements in many aspects including human rights since China's opening and reform 30 years ago.

From Western media, you cannot see the fact that riots in Lahsa on 14 March 2008 also annoyed most of the Tibetan Chinese.

From Western media, the fact you can see is that, not only both the West and Dalai Lama have never condemned the violence in the riots in Lahsa, instead, they condemn and distort the efforts of the Chinese police to restore law and order to protect human rights of innocent people.

Nobody who supports human rights and freedom of expression, like I do, is saying Chinese people are bad, so don't take any protests about Tibet/Human Rights personally. I have a huge amount of respect for both Chinese and Tibetan people, I just wish you had a better Government.

By the way, it's not really surprising there were more Chinese protestors than Tibetans. There's a lot more of you! And Tibetans get shot if they try to leave the country.

Even in Tibet, people in there are also disturbed by the riots, tibetan Chinese people were killed, and most people support Olympics. BY THE WAY, tibetan Chinese is also Chinese. One very simple question, from where do you know that Tibetans get shot. Try to open your eyes, from where do you see a photo actually Tibetans are killed. Apart from that, the western media covers many facts about Tibet and China, if your country has many problems, try to solve your own country problem first, and stop the foreign intervention, if not, it will lead to more people against you.
