Housed in a renovated 1930's warehouse, Clash has risen to prominence through its eclectic and quality driven programming. DJ's including the likes of Vitalic, Dave Clarke, Laurent Garnier, Karl Bartos (Kraftwerk), Booka Shade, Chris Liebing and Joris Voorn have graced the decks, as have a number of Brazil's finest, including Anderson Noise, Renato Cohen, Gui Boratto and Marky.
Clash Music has been launched as a platform for the club to make its very own musical footprint. Electronic music and its importance to Brazil has, over recent years, grown to a new level. With the emergence of a wave of talented, homegrown producers, an exciting future lays ahead, and Clash Music intends to be at the very forefront.
The label's releases will bring together many of Clash Club's international headliner's, alongside some of the most skilled local artists. To launch the label, and kick off the 'Clash of Stars' series, we welcome new São Paulo resident Christian Smith and the City's finest, Renato Cohen.
Christian delivers the huge 'Ghost Chili'. Already throughly tried and tested in his own sets, this main-room, electronic groove- monster, with its outrageous breakdown, is now ready for all to taste. Spookily hot.
Renato presents the wickedly titled 'Drunk Knight Rider'. No there's no Hasselhoff samples, but the open synth line and moody bass do invoke images of the black Trans-Am we all so wanted as a kid. Fun, dramatic and funky, Renato's track offers more of a rush than your average ejector seat.
A great release to kick of the series and the label, and with more big names and releases already lined up, the future already looks very, very bright for Clash Music.
