@lynncrum lol then you didn't live in Texas, i grew up putting a couple spoons of sugar in our cornbread, but you don't have to have it, it just sweetens it a bit , and just for your info :) Texas is more southern hehe :) we call anyone north of texas a yankee :) lol, anyway back to the recipe :) thanks for posting it, i haven't had buttermilk cornbread in many years :) i miss it, it has a different taste from plain milk.

@ilovetocookalot how do you season the cast iron pan? i bought a new one but i don't think i seasoned it correctly - everything still sticks, and is there a special way to wash it? so you don't take all the oils out of the pan? seems i was told that has something to do with seasoning the iron,,,,,, Help :) thanks

Isn't that a two-cup measuring cup? Sorry to bother you, but that looks awful large for one cup, I could be wrong, though...But your vid is REALLY great, Many Thanks...Happy Thanksgiving..

@actonbath I was born and raised in TENNESSEE and NO ONE I know in the south puts SUGAR in their cornbread. If you do that its called CAKE!

I got so scared when you sprayed the PAM onto the skillet right over the flame!!! Don't burn down your house!!

Ya, came to the USA and was given those plastic coated no stick pans, they stink. Went to goodwill and got real pans like back home-cast iron from the early 1900's. Cleaning lady used steel wool on them because she had no experience with iron pans and it took me 2 weeks to get them back to sweet. I let her cook with my pans and now she dumped her plastic coated pans and owns a set of iron.
Sugarless cornbread some post? Lived in the south for 2 years, never had sugarless cornbread.

Please don't burn your house down by spraying that PAM near an open flame!
And please, no SUGAR! It's bread, not cake!
I'm getting my first ever cast iron skillet this Christmas for the sole purpose which was demonstrated in this well done video..
