The only real crime about this fight is that Miroslav Satan held Zetterberg for a moment to get his jersey off. Two on one? Real cool, guys. Oh, and that Malkin didn't get his mandatory one-game suspension.

For the life of me, I will never understand why Babs put Draper in for the rest of the series after Abdelkader scored goals in two straight games. The kid was on fire and had a ton of energy, and Drapes was experienced but was slower and hadn't played in a few games. Who knows, maybe the series could have ended differently. Probably not but you never know.

@TheKennyMcCormickLvr I have great respect for the Red Wings organization and its players, but the fans are inbred morons who don't know they sucked for 2 straight decades. When the Penguins "tanked" they were only bad from 2002-2006, the Red Wings sucked from the 70's through the early 90's.

@pens27bgl Where did you get that from? All that does is suspend the goon, who generally aren't the most prolific of hockey players and no real loss to the team. The rule was placed so that fights could not be used to change the tempo of the following game. The rule applies to ALL players, including Malkin. The Red Wings did not complain about the suspension because they have an ongoing relationship with the NHL. It doesn't mean that privately members of the organisation disagreed strongly.

The rule for suspensions for instigating in the last 5 minutes of a decided game was made to prevent coaches from sending goons out in the end to cheap shot the stars. This would not apply to the Malkin fight. This was just rising tempers in a Stanley Cup Finals game. Its happened before and if Zetty and the Wings aren't bitching their fans sure as hell should not be.
